Scope of work:
KTA provided full structural design for a two-story wood framed renovation. The building was temporarily removed from its permanent location and a new cellar was dug out and installed prior to replacing the building in its permanent location. Full scope of work includes:
A new concrete cellar was installed that supports the existing wood building
A wing of the house was torn down and reconstructed to create a double height pool room space
The reconstructed wing was framed with steel moment frames to convert the walls of the wing to windows
Exterior wall opening locations were reconfigured
Exterior stairs were rebuilt
An interior load bearing wall was removed and replaced with a steel beam
